So. The Devil wouldn't shut up, even though Don't-Call-Me-Angie had him shoved in that cement brick wall room with the sound proof glass. The Devil is apparently rather resourceful, because the little bastard came up with a PA system to send his messages at me. 'Make a knitting blog', he says. And he says this for a good two months before I finally, this morning in the shower go 'FINE. If you can come up with a good name for it, I will,' since I know that The Devil is really bad at naming, well, anything. He always wants to call everything Bob Dole. I figure I've got him beat, right? But then he says, 'Hey, why not just call it Paranoid Citroid?'
Fuck.
So now I have a knitting blog. Okay, so, I'm totally not used to using Blogger. I am pretty much a loyal LJer. I feel kind of guilty for having a blog. I don't know how to advertise this or anything. Or even if I want to. I just want somewhere to keep track of my knitting shit and not have it cluttering up my Friends List on LJ, ya know?
So for today, I'll actually post some content. First off, a list of everything I've completed since January 1st. I'm trying to keep track of all my projects this year:
January:
Daishi scarf (For Fraggle's Frontiers Daishi cosplay at Megacon)
Mom's furry galaxy yarn scarf
2 pairs of voodoo wrist warmers, both out of kool-aid dyed yarn
1/2 pair of socks
Noro multidirectional scarf
February:
2 washcloths
1/2 of pair of socks (the other half of the January pair)
1 pair of socks - Schachenmayr micro color is LOVE, goddammit. I will make more socks out of this.
March:
trelis scarf from hell (never again with the ladder ribbon yarn)
fern-stitch lace washcloth
dropstitch rainbow scarf
grandma socks
And, lastly, a picture (since I know people always want pictures to look at and go 'oooh') of the socks I started Sunday at the Knit in Public at All-Saints Cafe:

More of that schachenmayr micro color, from Elann where it's cheap as hell. They have the colorway listed as 'Mango Melange'. Although the colors are off in this picture, thanks to taking it with the flash on at night. These are going to be summer socks, hence the short leg on them.

5 Comments:
duuuude, that sock yarn is purtiful. it looks like it feels sort of satiny.
The sock yarn is t3h awesome. Although, the pictures make the colors off. The orange and yellow are a whole lot more neon-obnoxious in person.
