Dulaan

So, I finally got my ass started on some Dulaan project knitting. I added the link in the sidebar there, so click on it. Basically, you knit clothing to send to poor people over in Mongola who need clothing. Right now they need stuff for little kids. At first, that kinda chagrined me, because I'm no fan of kids. Then I realised - hey, knitting for kids is easier and faster and requires less yarn than it does for adults. So. Since Wednesday, I've finished 2 pairs of mittens and the back of what will be a hooded sweater:

It's a bit blurry, but meh. As you can tell, the bottom pair of mittens does not match, even though it's out of the same skein of yarn. But it's Noro Kureyon, so, yeah. The deadline for recieving to be sent off this year is July 1st, and I'm hoping to have several more items finished by then. One thing this is good for is using up scrap yarn - kids sized mittens take up so little that I was able to get 2 mittens out of leftovers of 1 skein of noro - and the thumbs were just done with a different skein. Now I also have an idea of what to do with all the red-orange-pink yarn I dyed a while back that I didn't have any ideas for.
