posting from work
Rrmph. Not a whole lot going on. Well, that's not entirely true. COH and work are eating up my time, so most knitting progress has been slow. Today I found some yarn I think I'll use for my sockapal2za pal. She said she likes bright colors and patterns.
I recieved my bright red yarn from knitpicks for my Aya beret, and after SnB last night, it's over halfway finished. The thing is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. I'm hoping it will shrink enough when I felt it - which I'm going to have to end up doing in my bathtub, probably, seeing as I don't want to spend money and use the washers in my apartment complex.
I also dyed up some more sock yarn. I find that wilton black icing dye? Turns yarn bright magenta-pink. Guh. And purple you have to be careful with as well, as it has a tendency to seperate and turn blue. Pictures eventually, when the yarn isn't hanging from a doorknob in my bedroom to dry.
So, I have decided that July will be a finishing month for me. No new projects started. Instead, I intend to finish several of these projects (or even hopefully all of them):
Banff (back finished, front started)
Shapely tee (back finished, front almost to the chest shaping, which I may omit)
4 different pairs of socks (2 need their mate, and 2 are still on needles)
Aya hat (but this should be easy)
Irish hiking scarf (uafhghh cables)
Clapotis (still stuck in the middle section)
I'd add in the afghan, but I become more and more tempted to rip it every day.
After the above projects are finished (or July ends, whichever comes first), top priorty will be first the sockapal2za socks and then another sweater for Dulaan, since I've got the yarn for it. Maybe August will be destashification month?
