Le sigh. At least some progress
So last week, Wednesday night, I was so generally pissed off at anything, I frogged the entirety of a sock. I mean, almost completed. Had turned the heel, done the gusset, but I was so pissed off I ended up yanking out the needles and ripping the fucker back out and reballing it up.
... At least my size 2's are free. So I started on my Sockapal2za socks, which are coming along much better than the above-mentioned former-sock-now-wad-of-yarn. I'm now turning the heel on the first one. I decideded to use the Regia cotton blend, which was my first choice anyway. I'd have a picture, but I'm posting for work.
I've also made headway on another sock (the second of the pair made out of knitpicks' morning glory colorway) and am into the decrease rows for clapotis, finally. The only problem is the pattern was apparently ammended sometime after I printed it out, because the yarn yardage was wrong... and I'm almost out. This wouldn't be such a problem if I wasn't using yarn I dyed. So now I'm going to have to figure out how much more I'll need to complete the damn thing and try to dye it in hopes that the colors that come out will be close enough to the original that it won't be too noticeable. I must say I think I have overcome my hatred for the project, though. I think I'm the only person to knit it who isn't gushing about it.
So, you can see I've been sticking to July being finishing month, so far. The only thing I've cast on was for sockapal2za, and technically I cast those on on thursday, which was June 30th, so nyah.
This weekend, I'll be dying the yarn to finish clapotis. If I finish off the tiny remaining ball that's attatched to it now, assuming I don't work on socks instead, I will pick up either Banff or the Shapely T, but I can't decide which right now...
Something's gotta suffer, ey? I've got my fingers in too many pies. COH, knitting, making wallpapers, planning out a cosplay, translating... well, looks like this month it's translating and wallpapers.
