Blah blah clever title blah
Oh. oh. oh. You have nooooooooooooooooooooooo idea what shit I had to go through to get this post up. Blogger? Hates me. Specifically, hates me really hard when I try to upload images. FUCKER! AUGH! See, I would update more frequently if I knew that blogger wasn't going to require 5 tries per picture to get the goddamn things uploaded. Anyway. Pictures and progress.First off, some more koigu I bought. I love the colors of this stuff. This bunch is teals and browns and oranges. The pinks are not so vibrant as they look in the picture, but on a whole the colorway made me
think of images of Japanese springtime. If only this stuff was superwash, I'd be making all my socks out of it.Then, over to your right, we have the beginning of the sock memories shawl. Which I keep wanting to typo as 'sock mammaries'. My brain is a strange place. Anyhow, that's about a repeat and a half there. It's a little bit further along now, but not by much.
Then, swinging directly back into sockland, just before the end of Socktoberfest deadline, I finished the green jacquard sock. Unfortunately, taking pictures at night + flash = washed out colors. Really, they're more... uh... green than that. Especially the stripe that looks yellowish. And then there's the new worksock. Some of the first wilton-dyed
sock yarn I did, at the same time as the orange-and-green Lida socks. I call this yarn hippies, because it reminds me of tiedye. Finally, the big wad of progress: I actually picked up the shapely t and finished the front! And attatched it to the back! And then decided that fuck this, I'm not knitting any more on this damn thing than I have to, it's getting busted back down to the 'shapely tank'. Besides, I don't have any sleeveless shirts. So, I went back and picked up around one side to make
the arm bands. Right now, all that's left is the arm bands and side seam on the left side, weaving in various and assorted ends, and then blocking. I had some trouble picking up stitches, and there are a few holes around the neckline because of it. This makes me unhappy. I'm wondering if I can - and should - go back in and try to sew them closed, or if it would just make things look worse...But, wow, ey? I managed to actually keep some of my knitting goals this month, even with joining Socktober fest. I finished 4 socks, the lace scarf for my granma, and the Shapely T is very close to being finished!
Now, I'm going to go back to COV, where my piratey brute-lady, The Bloody Roger, is on the verge of lvling up to 8...
