Lack of posts
Well, there's a good reason why. See, I have a job with the state government as what I call a 'keyboard monkey'. Er, in reality, what I do is work in the public records section, and my job includes lots and lots of typing. So, as you can imagine, after 5 8-hour days a week where I spend probably at least 6 of those hours each day typing, my wrists and arms fucking hurt. This past week, they've been especially full of pain. Hopefully, this will be changed soon, as I now will be doing something else at work that requires significantly less typing. This is a good thing. Especially my wrists, forearms, upper arms, all the way up to my shoulders and into my neck are hurting like bitches today. I can only hope all this damn knitting and sore muscles means my arms are getting stronger, since I've always been built like a Tyrannasaurus Rex (strong legs, weak piddly worthless arms).
Not only that, but on Wednesday morning, at least one of the fans in my comp blew out, rendering it useless for most of the day. On the funny side, the only replacement fans CompUSA had that came with all the cables and in the right size? Had LED lights. So I am probably the only person on the face of the earth who has managed to accidentally mod my computer. This amuses the hell out of me, my only big problem with it is that the fan has red, blue, and green LEDs, so it doesn't match my bright green tower (Augh, why no plain green LED lights? Then it would've looked really cool).
Not only that - yes! There's more! - my pre-order of City of Villains came. EEEEEE. "Let's be bad guys" indeed, because it's so much more fun to play a villainous sort than a hero. Even though the game goes live on Halloween, I'm hoping to get last minute access to the beta this weekend so I can play around with it and figure out what type of villain I want to be.
And even more... a new metronome minialbum (auuuuugh, Electric Travel rocks my socks so goddamn hard I want to LICK IT) means I'll probably get sucked into translations world again. Not to mention finally having the kanji for a Guniw Tools song (Tooi Kari) that I've been hunting for well over a year. I finally gave in and just bought the damn album.
What knitting progress I do have isn't very exciting. The green jacquard sock I was working on is about maybe 1/4 to 1/2 an inch from toe decreases. I am about halfway through one repeat of the sock memories shawl. And I have made some progress on the new sock I cast on - it's boring 2x2 rib leg, and the only reason I've made progress on it is because it's become my new work sock, since I'm so close to decreases on the other (and I can't take my shoe off at work to be measuring whether or not I'm good to start them).
