Stab Blogger
Stab it to DEATH because it's taken literally 6 fucking hours to upload pictures. But hey, on the upisde, I killed 3 birds
with one stone: Dulaan knitting, Socktober knitting, and a bit of destashification. They're small, using a pattern for infant's socks I found on elann.com as a base. Instead of what was required in the pattern, I upsized the needles to 4's and used worsted weight yarn instead of sock weight. I think they'd probably fit a kid between 3 and 5 or so. They really didn't take that long at all, so I'll probably make more with other yarn leftovers.
And since I had a pair of size 2's free, you'd think I'd cast on for the matching sockotta sock, but no, instead I cast on for the razor shell socks. So far I don't have a whole lot knit, but hey, the pattern is easy enough to remember so I don't think it will take too long.
But the majority of knitting I did today was on the scarf for my granma, so I haven't totally abandoned my goals. The picture is inaccurate on color - it's a lot lighter and less pink - but taking it without the flash shows the stitches better. I've actually worked on it some more since taking the picture, it's about 2 1/2 feet long right now.
