Not a whole lot
Not a whole lot to say, these past 12 days.
I am suffering some seriously bad second-sock syndrome. How bad? I have 5 socks that need their pair.
Work on Banff has once again slowed to a crawl. A little work has been done on the irish hiking scarf, but nothing noteworthy.
In tampa this weekend for Thanksgiving, and I picked up quite a bit of yarn. 3 skeins of sock yarn - at least one of which will be turned into socks for my granma (the one who lives in Arizona, not the one I made the scarf for). I am also to be making a lap blanket for her. I think I am going to modify Knitty's Cozy to be about 30" by 40" or so. So, picking up yarn for that as well.
I also got some cascade 22o to make the robot from the book I got from Jesshutch.com. I decided to go with black, 2 shades of grey, and bright yellow - it's going to be a metronome themed robot, of course. Because metronome makes robots happy.
I think I need to, once again, focus on my scads of unfinished projects:
1. Banff. I have the back finished, and the front and one sleeve are on needles.
2. Making the second of any of the 5 unfinished pairs of socks - not to mention finishing the 3 on needles currently and their mates (so, technically, that's about 11 socks).
3. The simple garter-stitch scarf I'm working on for dulaan. It's a strand of cascade held double with bernat galaxy - I figure it should be nice and warm and interestingly textured.
4. The second mitten of a pair for Dulaan.
5. The child's pullover for Dulaan. The front is about 2/3rds knit, but I've put it down for a while.
6. The sock memories shawl. I got pissed off at it this weekend when I was working on it after the realisation that I had accidentally been knitting the edges, which are supposed to be garter stitch, as stockinette and had to rip back about 5 rows.
7. Irish Hiking scarf, which only seems to get taken down off the shelf when I'm headed to tampa.
But you know, as soon as I have the skeins wound up for use, I am probably going to cast on for the modified Cozy for my grandma. I'm currently working on one of the socks pretty heavily as well - so I can free up the needles for grandma socks. But I do think I have needles free for my robot (which I have already decided I shall name 'meto', since 'metronome' in katakana is written as 'metoronoomu')...
And ah, I am still wanting to buy yarn for Samus. But no, I will force myself to finish some of the above-mentioned projects.
Oh, and I suppose I should start trying to piece together a pattern for my Aya cosplay camololita dress - which now has a pair of boots after a lucky sale this weekend ($170 boots for $70? Yes plz).
