First things first! Here goes my second attempt at putting the picture of the granma blanket up. I swear, it was either 'get a picture that accurately shows the color of the yarn' or 'get a picture that shows the texture'... so I went with texture, because otherwise, it looks like a green blob. Uh... Boogersnot included for scale? Actually, I put her down on the bed so I could take the picture without her trying to grab the camera strap, and she decided to try and chew on the needles.

Then there is my beginning of a sock for Sockapaloooza. The yarn came in the mail on Friday, so I got it wound up last night and started it, and so far am almost through the first pattern repeat of this pattern. I did a 1x1 rib instead of 2x2, but I don't think it'll make much difference. Unfortunately, once again the colors aren't true... I either have the choice of no flash, which makes everything look murky, or flash, which washes the colors right out. It's interesting because I guess the pattern is technically lace, but it makes it look cabled. I ended up using this colorway after polling my friends, and the colors are muted enough that the pattern will show through, but I think it'd be way too pastel if I was making the socks for myself. I like things loud and obnoxious, just like me.

Finally, I got some more work done on a Dulaan sweater. The back is finished, the front is about a third of the way done. And maybe one of these days I'll get back to knitting something that's actually for me.

I hope so! Right now my concern is making sure they fit my sock pal.
