Some stuff, none of it yellow or orange.
Well, I'd intended to stick with the project spectrum knitting, but I had some stuff happen. First, I wanted to get this scarf done:

As you can see, in this picture from earlier this week, it was almost finished. I have since added the fringe to the unfringed edge, trimmed it, and it's sitting on my shelf waiting to be claimed. I have no idea why the yarn (lorna's laces worsted in river) made the patterning it did on the second half, but it looks nifty. I wish it would've done that in the first skein, as well. I guess this could be considered a belated birthday gift for a friend.
And then, in the works for another friend:

Oh sure, it doesn't look like much yet, but I started it this morning and am already on the head. It's a pattern from the same booklet with the knitted robot, called 'Henry the Bear'. I've gone down to size 5 needles since I want the fabric to be really sturdy, and am using cascade 220 from my stash. I love the way the Quattro for the 'shirt' part of the body looks. I have a friend whose house burned down last week (!!!) and I really don't know what I can do for her since she is a few states away. Last night I got the idea to knit her something, since none of her friends can be there for her. I hope to have this finished quick so I can send it off with some other care-package-type stuff.
I have also joined the Dye-o-Rama. I put myself in the experienced category, even though my only 'experience' dying yarn has been with wilton and kool-aid. I'd like to one day try using better dyes and yarns, but right now I can't afford it, whereas I can afford to buy pots of wilton.

Hey Lyme! You can probably make a better one but I thought you'd want one for people to add you to their image blog rolls.
Oh, cool, thanks! Next time I update I'll have to stick that in the sidebar!
