J-rock Sites
Japanese Channel - Even though it's not being updated anymore, Japanese Channel is still a really really good place to find information on several J-rock bands as well as picture galleries.
The J-rock Saga - This site is a great resource for lesser known bands. The maintainer has a list of artist reccommendations up, and there's an extensive link section for all sorts of Visual Kei, Visual Indies, Eroguro, and Angura Kei bands. Also multimedia, grab bags, and album reviews available.
Tonberry Torrents - A bittorrent tracker focusting on visual kei and j-rock.
Jpopsuki Tracker - Another bittorrent tracker. This focuses mainly on pop, although you can find all sorts of stuff there if you dig.
Hyde Club - The site's in german, but you can find a huge archive of pictures for several bands, some wallpapers, and basic information on quite a few bands.
VR World - A Chinese Site that has another incredibly large collection of pictures, although most of them are somewhat older. There's also a downloads section with mp3s and videos.
Roger's J-rock Page - A Russian site (Yeah, I know. I can't speak most of these languages either, but you can usually find your way around enough to get what you're looking for) with galleries, cosplay pictures, and a huge collection of wallpapers.
The Japanese Flannel A humor site, with amusing articles on a variety of J-rock related topics. Unfortunately, it's no longer being updated.
The Lighter Side of Black - A mostly-humor site. There are funny pictures, photoshopped images, and a 'seperated at birth' section, as well as some little known facts about your favorite bands.
CDJapan - A great source for CDs. They carry indies as well as major label bands.
Centigrade-J - A HUGE repository for lyrics translations, as well as reviews and editorials. In 2006, they will also be involved in Jrock Ink, which is to be the first English language magazine focusing on Japanese music.
