青い鳥 (Aoi tori)
Lyrics: Sharaku
Music: Riu
Kanji

Translation
It's not enough, in my head I'm trying to think
You are surely my blue bird
There are annoying shitheads in this world, too
If I keep following you, it'll be okay
Spilling over and being full but without it*
I'll become a mechanical doll
Even if, for example, my battery were to stop
Because of you the world still works
Right?
The best casting,+
don't you think?
Because I couldn't get used to Sid and Nancy
I'll become a clockwork orange**
Even if, for example, I were to stop breathing
Because of you the world still turns
Right?
I'm not in your gaze
I'm just a good-for-nothing in the background
The best casting,
don't you think?
I planned to fly in the sky but that's a delusion
I am looking for for a blue bird from a time long past
You're the part of the blue bird, I'm looking for my part
NOTES
* No. Fucking. Clue. Chiru as in the verb that means 'spilling or scattering'? Katakana makes this difficult.
+ Cast as in the kind in a movie, not the kind you get when you break a bone.
** These two lines are really interesting. Sid and Nancy refers to Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols and his girlfriend, who were notorious for doing lots of drugs, fighting a lot, and dying due to drug use. 'Clockwork orange' refers to a book by Anthony Burgess (Yes, and the movie, too) where he describes a clockwork orange as a person that does good or evil because they're really a 'clockwork toy to be wound up by god or the devil'. That says so much about this relationship in the song, doesn't it?
