Karakuri (カラクリ)

Lyrics: Riu
Music: Riu

Kanji

Translation

Answers outside of the norm trouble me
Always My chest tightens
Betraying while laughing
The spreading doubt troubles me
Even you Even anyone
Sharing isn't something I can do

Yes, even me...

Carefully examined answers trouble me
Always My chest tightens
Betraying while facing right
The pile of doubts troubles me
Even you Even anyone
Sympathy is something I can do

Yes, even me
Reality is something I couldn't expect

Well, while laughing
Always My chest tightens Betraying

Yes, even me
Reality is something I couldn't expect

NOTES

* He sings something different here, it sounds like 'wakari aikoto muri datte' but I can't be sure... either way, the meaning is about the same.
+ Trouble with 'hatte' as it's in hiragana, so I don't know what friggin verb it's supposed to be. I THINK it's 張る (haru) which can mean to stick/stretch/tighten - it's really the only one that makes sense that I found that can be put in -te form as 'hatte' that works.
-Karakuri has several meanings: Device, mechanism, or trick.
-To me, this sounds like a song about someone who lies a lot, but has a big problem with it. And once again, I want to smack Riu around for writing the lyrics that are hardest to translate correctly.
