Kanji

Romaji

Shinigami no mukae no koe ga kikoeru

BARABARA no kioku soshite munashisa

Anata no te ni sukui ga aru nara dou ka kowashite
Anata no te de subete owarasete ore o shizumete

Kanjou fuusatsu raiun o yobu maryoku
Furueru karada o namari ga uchinuku

Nobori no nai yami sore wa akogare+

Anata no te ni mirai ga aru nara dou ka kowarete
Anata no te de subete owarasete ore o shizumete

Translation

Inferior flying makes the ash rain down
I can hear the voices of the ones sent to meet Death

Scattered memories and the emptiness

If rescue comes in your hands, I wonder if it will break
It all ends by your hand, I am drowning

Magic calls forth the feeling of surpressed thunderclouds
Lead shoots through the quaking bodies

In the unmuddled darkness, there is a longing

If the future is in your hands, I wonder if it will be broken
It all ends by your hand, I am drowning

The reality that festering bodies cling to

If in your hands there is agony
If in your hands there is hatred
If in your hands there is tragedy, I wonder if it will break
If everything in your eyes speaks of the truth, then I’m told of the day of farewell

TRANSLATION NOTES:

*翱翔 is not a Japanese word. It is apparently Chinese, thus making this, well, really hard to translate – given I don’t know Chinese. I had to run this word through an online translator, and I got ‘inferior hovers/soars’ (and I do know rettou means inferior in Japanese)… however, the pronunciation of the word in Chinese is most definitely not the same in Japanese. *headdesk* The first line of this translation is therefore VERY loose.
+Dammit, Lida. The kanji here is pronounced ‘nikori’ but Daishi sings it as ‘nobori’. They both basically mean the same thing.
-This song is so reminiscient of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs for me that it’s almost funny. Of course, I totally dig the whole anti-war message of War Pigs, so that’s a good thing.
