遠い雁 (Tooi Kari)

Lyrics: Guniw Tools
Music: Guniw Tools

Kanji

Translation

Gazing at the new moon The shell of a cicada
And the murmuring memory Distant love
To know relief A raging storm
The map of sleep Unfurling
The twins of the Woods are Enquiring faces
After that On your face An autumn windstorm Abates
To seek relief A raging storm
The bow Give me the time
Inside my bag I keep wet sand
Taking it in The stray goose
To open relief A raging storm
Unable to adapt Omit nothing
Not recovering A prayer Does the evening tea party Continue?

NOTES

NOTES:

*The kanji used here in the actual lyrics is an older way of writing 冷, but I actually can't seem to get it to come up with my IME, so I've left the more modern version of the character there.
- I have played with the translation for this song for well over a year. Really, I've heard that Full's lyrics can be absolutely impossible to translate... now I believe it. This whole song is extremely confusing and the lyrics feel so disjointed no matter how much I poke at them... I'm inclined to believe that this is about a dream (given the mentions of sleep and other night-time imagery). If there's someone out there who can translate this in a more coherent way... please do!
-Title can be roughly translated as 'the distant wild goose'.
